What Are Your Reasons?

My name is Laura Reasons.  I went to law school because from the time I was a child, people told me I should be a lawyer because I liked to argue.  I prefer to think that what they meant was, I always had a strong sense of right or wrong, and wasn’t afraid to express my views.  Once I got to law school, I heard a lot of jokes about my name.  Professors would call on me… “Ms. Reasons, what reasons did the Supreme Court give for ruling ….”  Jokes aside, I excelled at the type of reasoning required in law school, and I began to take an interest in employment law.

Why Employment Law Matters to Me

Employment law interested me because of its big impact on people’s lives.  Most of us spend more time working than we do with family and friends, sleeping, or doing just about anything else that matters to us.  Employment law gives me a meaningful opportunity to make my client’s lives better.

A Personal Mission to Fight for What’s Right

Today, I still have a strong sense of right or wrong.  I started my firm to be able to handle the types of cases I wanted to handle, and to be able to fight against oppression where I see it, using the tools and resources that I have access to, and my years of experience and judgment.
No matter your reasons for working, if you are my client, I will fight for you.
I will endeavor to listen to your story, to understand, and to guide you to the best resolution possible, based on where you are, no matter your reasons.
